Hayley

Co-founder, Personal Trainer

Hayley handles the social media, podcast editing, and business side of things for LVL. She has been interested in fitness for a long time as a consumer, and worked in corporate finance and accounting for 6 years before becoming a Personal Trainer.

My passion is helping people sustainably achieve their fitness goals without killing themselves in the gym everyday and depriving themselves in the kitchen.

After spending years yoyo dieting and punishing myself with cardio, only to see the number on the scale constantly fluctuate up and down, I realized that getting my workouts and nutrition advice from YouTube and Instagram just wasn't going to cut it.

That started me down the path of learning about the principles of weight training and nutrition, eventually leading to me quitting my corporate job to become a personal trainer.

I’ve taken a special interest in learning to work with the senior population, as I feel this is a group that is hugely underserved, but could possibly benefit the most from getting in some intentional movement in their day. I also truly enjoy working with female weight loss clients, as that is the same journey I was on for years.

I am an ACE-certified Health Coach trained in motivational interviewing and the Monash Low-FODMAP program. A former Assistant Professor of Exercise Science at Georgia Gwinnett

After leaving academia in 2017, I enjoyed four amazing years as a Renaissance Periodization Nutrition Coach while launching my current telehealth coaching business, Vitamin PhD Nutrition. In 2021, I transitioned to running Vitamin PhD Nutrition full-time while collaborating with Shannon Beer, LLB, in our joint venture, Bridging the Gap with Comprehensive Coaching. I’m fortunate to work with Examine.com as a part-time researcher and excited to have joined the LVL Health team this year. I also produce evidence-based, practical content for BarBend. As a board member of both the Nutrition Coaching Global Mastermind (NCGM) and the Sports Nutrition Association (SNA), I collaborate with a selection of colleagues to guide discussions and change toward best practices in the online nutrition coaching industry.

Josh

Co-founder, Personal Trainer

Josh is a Marine Corps veteran, college student, and perpetually intermediate lifter. When he isn't doing homework, recording podcasts, or working on LVL, you can find him hanging out with his 5 dogs, hiking, lifting, and reading.

I have been interested in fitness for as long as I can remember. Lifting weights and building muscle has always called to me and there has been a weight of some kind in my hand every day since I was 12 years old.

After spending a decade following whatever someone that was bigger or stronger than me said to do, I realized that approach just wasn't cutting it. As I was getting out of the Marine Corps in 2015, the most obvious next step for me was to become a Personal Trainer.

So, six years after graduating high school, I began working at various kinds of gyms in my area. I worked very hard over the next five years and eventually became part owner of a training facility. However it never really felt like I found a good fit until we started LVL Health.
